RICHARD BAND

COMPOSER - ORCHESTRATER

Richard Band, one of the most highly lauded composers in film, has scored more than 70 films, including

"From Beyond", winner of Best Original Soundtrack at the Sitges International Film Festival. His score for

"Re-Animator" was lauded by Music From the Movies magazine, which stated, "Band’s music is dark and direct, creating an intense and eerie atmosphere". In addition to feature films, Richard has also scored many television shows, among them, Stargate SG-1 and Walker: Texas Ranger. He also developed campaign music for many shows on the WB, such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Smallville. Band was nominated for a Primetime  Emmy for his work on the TV series, Masters of Horror.

Richard Band's  film scores are renowned for employing strong, memorable and often very melodic themes. Films like Mutant, The Alchemist, The House on Sorority Row, Ghostwarrior,  Troll,  and The Day Time Ended all feature beautiful and lyrical themes that seem to operate as the antithesis of the genre for which the films were produced. As Band explains. "film scores should add a third dimension to a two-dimensional medium.” From Beyond, Band's collaboration with Stuart Gordon following Re-Animator (performed by the Rome Philharmonic Orchestra) is considered a classic, featuring odd tonalities and creative, otherworldly orchestration. He would later score other Gordon films, The Pit and the Pendulum and Castle Freak. Richard's recent collaboration with producer, Robert Weinbach on the film "SHIVER" resulted in a sold out initial Intrada CD release of the extraordinarly haunting score which has garnered a plethora of kudos internationally. BG music here is from Band's score for "The Alchemist".

HUSSAIN AHMED

Finally, the United Nations assisted in relocating his family to Louisville, Kentucky where they  continue to reside. Hussain has now evolved as a noted writer, director and producer with several indie films to his credit. His film "In Search of Light" depicting the plight of Syrian children  sequestered in dire conditions at ill equipped refugee camps screened  at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Other credits include This War Of Mine - The Tasmanian Devil -  Crossing The Line -  A Knight To Remember - Broken Bonds - Pablo Is Dead  and The Sand Runner (currently in production). Hussain will contribute his first hand knowledge and experience in establishing the veracity of the Pakistani elements to be depicted and dramatized in our film.
